Director of Quality Assurance
Job Summary:
The Director of Quality Assurance influences and implements company policies and strategic direction in quality systems to ensure the safety and quality of all processes and products within the further processing and drying process. The Director of Quality Assurance leads the development, alignment, and deployment of new processes that build strategic quality alignment and partnerships with customers and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, Implements, communicates and maintains a quality plan to bring the Company's Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements
Manages analytical and micro departments at all further processing plants
Manages product testing, environmental testing, analytical testing and plant conditions at all further processing plants
Mentors Quality Managers at each location
Manages monthly/yearly budgets to ensure cost controls, implement KPI's to track internal measurements
Retains SQF Level III certification at further processing locations
Serves as key statistical resource and verifies product and process improvement through implementation and analysis
Audits facilities on a quarterly basis to ensure proper documentation and verification of procedures
Completes required quality reports
Mentors and develops department personnel, including supervisory/management staff
Monitors customer complaints and ensures proper correspondence and counter measures are completed
Ensures consistent product specification, quality procedures and programs are maintained at each facility
Oversees Kosher certification program
Works as liaison between quality and production departments: develop and oversee company goals
Travels to different company locations; 25% travel time
Investigates Technical Egg issues to resolution
Develops Key KPI's for Quality
Creates World Class Sanitation Programs Stage 1 and Further Processing
Reviews and validates specification changes for ingredients and finished products
Acts as liaison for any finished product transitions between further processing facilities
Acts as liaison between sales groups and customers for product development and revisions to existing formulas
Establishes testing criteria and work with USDA New Technologies to modify existing processes for improvements to efficiencies
Establishes standards for all Rembrandt Enterprises Co-Packers or co-Manufacturers including auditing, product verification testing for food safety and quality standards and monitoring standards
Establishes standards for all Rembrandt Enterprises storage facilities to ensure controls are implemented to sustain finished product and ingredient integrity
Establishes and monitors co-worker performance and developmental goals, assigns accountabilities, sets objectives, establishes priorities, conducts annual performance appraisals, and administers salary adjustments as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Food Process Engineering or related field
10 years' experience working in Food Industry;
HAACP Knowledge and Experience
SQF Certified and experience with SQF implementation
Broad base of knowledge in Food chemistry, Product Development and microbiology
Clear understanding and working knowledge of Process and Compliance Quality Systems
Strong interpersonal , communication and organizational skills
Independent Self Starter/Team Player
Ability to: motivate, lead, problem solve
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
MS in Food Science and Business Administration

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
